As we near the end of July, I can't help but wonder where the summer went! It's not over yet, but it will be soon. So many things have happened. Over the past few months, I've completed my word count for Camp Nanowrimo, have started afresh on my upcoming children's picture book that will be published sometime in January or February, and welcomed some new pets into the family. It's been a season of life that has just changed and moved in new and really cool ways.
I wanted to say, my school starts early and soon, so hats off to you all. I try to get my artwork up here, and you guys are so kind to me. I've never gotten a single bit of hate mail

And it's pretty cool, if I may say so myself. As the new contest monitor and creator for Harry-Potter-Club, my first challenge was to--of course--create a new contest. Because St. Patrick's Day is coming up, I used it as a theme. It's pretty awesome.
Basically, submit your work of art or literature (details in the contest journal here; http://harry-potter-club.deviantart.com/journal/We-have-a-new-contest-356046511) with a St. Patrick's Day theme into Harry-Potter-Club's Main Contest folder. Hey, there! Hope you all had the merriest of Christmases and truly happy New Years! I know I did. How did you celebrate? I visited my grandparents (over the river and through the woods!) and enjoyed netflix's fireplace on our tv since our fireplace is a gas one and we can't figure out how to get it to work. Haven't made any New Years' Resolutions yet... Have you made any? If so, what were they? I need some ideas.... :)
